The Capri Mk3 was introduced in March 1978 and was not too dissimilar from the Mk2.
Under the skin little had changed and they were still powered by the same range of
engines. However there were several visual changes between Mk2 and Mk3 models.
Front headlights were changed to quadruple units along with a new style grille and
plastic bumpers all round. The front valance was deepened just like the Mk2 S to
complete the look. The Mk3 was the first model not to be offered in the US where
in previous incarnations it has been badged as the Mercury Capri.

The total number of Capri's produced were 1,900,557 in it's 18 year production life.
The last Capri rolled off the production line in 1987 and finished with the 280 special.
This edition is easily recognised by it's British racing green paintwork, leather upholstery
and 15" 7 spoke alloy wheels.
